Don't Cry Sasuke
The night was cold and it was raining cats and dogs. Everything looked so dreary just like the weather. Amidst the rain a lonesome figure could be seen sitting alone on the edge of a cliff. It was a boy of ten and six years who had a face of an angel with fair skin and spiky black hair standing straight at the back of his head. But there was an evil tint in his eyes which were black with red patterns in them which looked like three intercepting ellipses; his Mangeykyo Sharingan. Although it was very cold and wet, but still he was wearing black pants and a pale purple half sleeved shirt whose zipper was a little undone from the front. He had with him a sharp and unavoidable sword of Kusanagi which was strapped at his back with a thick purple rope and a piece of a purple cloth to secure it.
Uchiha Sasuke was not an ordinary boy, because he was a ninja and not just any ninja he was the sole survivor of the infamous and powerful Uchiha clan.
Sitting on the edge of the cliff, Sasuke was thinking about his beloved aniki Uchiha Itachi who had just been killed during his fight with Sauke. Itachi was none other than the reason for the demise of the Uchiha clan.
Itachi, like Sasuke, was extremely handsome with fair skin. He had soft and smooth dark hair which he always kept in a ponytail. Sasuke and Itachi looked very similar in appearance with the exception that Itachi had high cheek bones which gave him the appearance as if he had permanent dark lines along both sides of his pretty little nose. His skin was a little darker and his hair were smoother and a little dull in color than Sasuke's. Apart from his appearance, Itachi was exceptional and special in every way.
Sasuke was thinking how quiet, polite, kind and distant Itachi was unlike Sasuke who had always been loud and had always worn his heart on his sleeve. Itachi was mysterious and had giant walls around him which no one ever dared to climb. He was a genius ninja, the likes of which the shinobi world had never seen. He was gifted beyond measures from a very young age with intelligence, wisdom, patience and incredible talent.
He was the pride of the Uchiha clan. His parents were very proud of him. His friends, elders, teachers and most of all his little brother Sasuke loved and admired him. But no one ever bothered to considered him a human being with hopes, dreams, failures and imperfections. To everyone he was just an object of admiration. No one ever looked closely at his sad face; his grief stricken eyes. No one asked him why he had his sharingan at the age of eight when it would only appear for the first time when one had been in extreme agony. No, he was an object.
Truth be told, he never wanted to be a ninja in the first place. He hated war, conflicts and violence. He was too gentle to be a shinobi. It was an irony that his gentleness became the reason of his demise, ill health and the dark and lonely road he had to walk.
He wanted true peace and harmony more than anything which was lacking in the shinobi world. Due to his gentle nature and peace his weakness, he was used by everyone ruthlessly. He was presented with horrible choice to choose between his family or his homeland where he could see the light of peace and prosperity.
Standing at the top of the shinobi world, he saw everything with his heavenly eyes. He realized that people hate and fear those whom they couldn't understand. They gave judgments about others according to what they see right, never seeing and accepting the harsh truth.
Sasuke realized then who his brother was and what he did for him. Itachi put an act in front of Sasuke. He burdened himself with the shamefull and harsh reality that his clan was sinful and wrapped in the curse of hatred, while at the same time he preserved the honor of his clan and peace of his world, giving Sasuke the false and beautiful image of their so called heavenly clan, keeping their terrible sins away from his beloved little brother's eyes.
Sasuke remembered how he angrily said to Itachi that he knew nothing about him. In fact, Itachi knew Sasuke very well. It was Sasuke who never knew who his brother was and how much he loved him. Sasuke remembered now, how Itachi only ever smiled whenever he was around no matter how much he was depressed or angry. It was always him. Itachi let Sasuke win the final fight between them. He wanted to die a long time ago and was only keeping himself alive for the sake of his little brother so that he could avenge his clan and redeem the Uchihas. Fighting with his sickness he waited patiently for Sasuke to grow
and become strong so that he could shoulder the responsibilty of the entire clan in a noble and honorable way.
Sasuke cursed himself for not seeing the true side of his brother. He was always a monster in his eyes because he never understood him, confirming Itachi's opinion about people. In their last meeting, Itachi was trying to tell Sasuke something. He was trying to teach him how to tell a difference between right and true. He was trying to tell him how he loved him so much.
With these thoughts swirling in his mind he remembered how Itachi shed tears after killing everyone in his clan. Sasuke was too blind by his hatred that he couldn't see the act Itachi put on for him. Tears started to pour down on his smooth cheeks which were burning hot with guilt, remorse and agony. He wanted Itachi back. He wanted to talk to him to comfort him, to make him feel better. He wanted to listen to him speaking his heart out. But it was too late, he was gone with that smile of his. Sasuke felt like his heart would blow up in thousand pieces with despair and agony. He was distraught beyond measures.
The cold rain was pouring down on him drowning his tears and he was shaking with coldness and grief, but he didn't care, his beloved aniki was gone forever. For the first time in his life he truely felt alone. Then came a distant voice from his heart, "Don't cry Sasuke, big brother is here to protect you no matter what happened, I will always be with you".
